We are so grateful for Kristine at Golden Advocacy! As parents who were new to the IEP process, we felt overwhelmed and lost. We had a very difficult time dealing with our child’s school. Kristine made sure we understood our rights as parents and fought for us every step of the way. She is extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I truly feel like we would still be fighting for an IEP if it weren’t for her. She helped us get services for my son that I never thought we would get. Her support and kindness means so much to our family. Kristine made this challenging process as easy as possible, and we could not recommend her enough!

We were extremely fortunate to have Kristine as our advocate, helping us navigate and understand our son's IEP.
As parents, attending past IEP meetings and reading through the proposed drafts was an overwhelming experience. From the moment we started working with Kristine, she made us feel comfortable and heard so we immediately knew that we were in good hands. Kristine asked the right questions at our meetings and also completed a thorough review of the IEP draft. Specifically, she was able to point out errors in goals in the IEP draft that didn't quite make sense. When these errors were pointed out to the IEP team, they acknowledged her comments without push back and made the necessary edits to ensure our son had attainable goals and supports in place. Kristine helped us understand all that is possible and having her in our corner was one of the best decisions we have ever made in regards to helping to ensure our son has everything he needs to receive a successful education.

IEP meetings are challenging because case managers often give you the meal but never show you the menu or choices. We wanted to know the full set of options available to help our son. We contacted Kristine to serve as an educational advocate to help us prepare for my son's 4th grade IEP meeting. Kristine's strong background in Special Needs education makes her a perfect champion. She helped review my son's IEP goals and accommodations and suggested modifications based on his current challenges. She even attended the IEP meeting and was inquisitive, assertive, and respectful. Kristine "knows what is on the menu" and helped advocate for my son to get him the services he needs.
